Panasonic Prepare to U.S. $ 100 Million to Increase Capacity

Jakarta - PT Panasonic Gobel Indonesia Energy allocate funds amounting to U.S. $ 100 million to increase the capacity of his factories this year.

"We have developed a refrigerator factory, television, batteries, washing machines that already exists. Worth around U.S. $ 100 million and that (funding) comes from the Japanese capital," said Commissioner of PT Panasonic Gobel Energy Indonesia, Rachmat Gobel at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Jakarta, Monday night (4/25/2010).

According to Rachmat, this time these plants are in the process of construction. The plan is battery factory that was built in Cibitung, Bekasi, can be completed in October 2010. The factory battery is a lithium coin battery plant expansion in Indonesia with an investment of 60 million U.S. dollars, so the plant becomes the company's largest production base.

"The factory was extended battery. So the factory moved from Japan to Indonesia," he said.

While for, the expansion of three other factories are factories television, refrigerator and washing machine located in Cibubur targeted for completion this year and next year. He hopes it can increase production capacity to increase exports to the USS 300-400 million within the next four years.
