Subsidized Premium Ration Out Early December 2010

Jakarta - Based on the calculation of Pertamina as the distribution of subsidized fuel, subsidized fuel quota allocation of 2010 had been very thin. Subsidized fuel quota for this type of premium is estimated to run out in early December, while the diesel subsidy would be exhausted in mid-November 2010 if not added its quota.

This was submitted by VP Communications of PT Pertamina (Persero) M. Aaron sidelines of the Seminar on Implications of Fuel Subsidy Distribution Restructuring and Non-Subsidized, at the Hotel Millennium, Jakarta, Thursday (11/18/2010).

"Today is not (out of quotas), the rest of us save 6-7% only. Solar has run out mid-November, early December premium is up," he said.

Aaron said it was waiting for the Downstream Regulatory Body (BPH) Migas to immediately confirm the number of subsidized fuel quota additions. Because, the Parliament in a hearing some time ago, concluded there's a chance a matter of additional quota of subsidized fuel.

"Up until now there is no certainty of BPH Migas, we just asked to make savings (premium)," he said.

He expects this week Pertamina have certainty about the additional quota of subsidized fuel. Given Pertamina, said Aaron, as the state must still provide the fuel needed by the community.

"Without our hard quota. At least Indonesia has Pertamina, we dare to remove first, we make sacrifices. We dare to add supply to the public affairs of the past to meet the fuel supply to the community," he said.

And he said, the problem of shortage of fuel subsidy quota has been reported since the middle of the first half of 2010 to BPH Migas. He said he only received orders from BPH Migas make savings, it is done informally through short messages (SMS).

"While we've mengajuka officially by letter, already two months ago but never got," he said.

According to the count of BPH Migas subsidized fuel consumption projected by year's end will penetrate 40.1 million includes 13.1 million KL KL of diesel, 3.8 million and 23.2 million karosene KL KL premium. While the fuel subsidy quota allocation in 2010 based on total state budget reached only 36.5 million KL, KL sollar covering 11.2 million, 3.8 million and 21.45 million KL KL karosene premium.

Based on actual data distribution PSO Fuel January to October 2010 that reported by BPH Migas is:

* Premium: KL 18,948,335 (88.57% Budget)
* Kerosene and kerosene: KL 2,009,770 (52.89% Budget)
* Solar: KL 10,668,196 (95.30% national budget).
